Our Past Students

Miss Pratima Jana

Pratima comes from a farmer’s family of Sagardeep, North 24 Pargana of interior West Bengal. After completing her B.Sc in 2021, Pratima took admission in 3- year GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) course in 2022 in a reputed nursing college in Kolkata. She completed her GNM course in 2025 and has been appointed by the same hospital as a trainee nurse. Pratima is the 2^nd student of Uma Guha Foundation to join a professional career in nursing.

One of our valued donors, Mr. R. L. Kumar had supported part of Pratima’s educational expenses with Shri. R V N Sastry Memorial Scholarship in memory of his beloved father. A sum of Rs. 5000/- was being paid every month towards Pratima’s educational expenses under this scholarship. Uma Guha foundation is thankful to Mr. R.L. Kumar for his kind gesture which helped Pratima to fulfil her life’s aspirations.

Rohit dey

Rohit comes from a farmer’s family of Hooghly District of West Bengal. Rohit has been a part of Uma Guha Foundation family since September’2022 when he was in class 11. He passed his Higher Secondary Examination in 2024 securing 85% marks with grade A+. Rohit is currently pursuing 4 -year B.Sc Honours in Agriculture from a reputed college of West Midnapore district.

One of our valued donors, Mr. Mohit Choudhary supported Rohit with Captain Prem Vir Singh Memorial Scholarship in memory of his beloved father. Uma Guha foundation is thankful to Mr. Mohit Choudhary for his kind gesture which helped Rohit to do very well in his higher secondary examination.

Sreemon Sarkar

Sreemon has been a part of Uma Guha Foundation family since March’2023 when he was in class 8. He passed Secondary Examination in 2026 securing 90% marks with grade AA (Outstanding). Now Sreemon has taken admission in class 11 and preparing for Higher Secondary examination scheduled for 2028.

One of our valued donors, who wants to remain anonymous, supported Sreemon with an Educational Scholarship for last more than 2 years. A sum of Rs.1550/- was being paid every month towards Sreemon’s two private tutors tuition fees under this scholarship. Uma Guha Foundation is thankful to this donor for his kind gesture which helped Sreemon to secure outstanding result in secondary examination.

Based Ali

Based Ali is a first-generation learner from a farmer’s family of West Midnapore District, West Bengal. Based has been a part of Uma Guha Foundation family since November’2024 when he was in class 11. He passed Higher Secondary Examination in 2026 securing 84% marks with grade A+ (Very Good).

Uma Guha Foundation supported Based’s education for last one and half years and an amount of Rs. 1950/- was being paid every month towards Based’s four tutors tuition fees and this helped Based to secure very good result in his Higher Secondary examination.

Mousumi Das

Mousumi is a first-generation learner and comes from a farmer’s family of East Midnapore district, West Bengal. Mousumi has been a part of Uma Guha Foundation family since July’2024 when she was in class 11. She passed Higher Secondary examination in 2026 securing 73.6% marks with Grade – A from a school of East Midnapore district.

One of our valued donors, who wants to remain anonymous, had supported Mousumi during her educational journey from July24 to February26 with Shri Tathagata Chakraborty Memorial Scholarship in memory of his beloved father. A sum of Rs. 800/- was being paid every month towards Mousumi’s private tutor’s fees under this scholarship. Uma Guha foundation is thankful to this donor for his kind gesture which helped Mousumi to do well in her higher secondary examination.

Arman Ali Khan

Arman Ali Khan is a first-generation learner from a farmer’s family of Garbeta, West Midnapore District, West Bengal. Arman has been a part of Uma Guha Foundation family since October’2024 when he was in class 11. Arman passed Higher Secondary examination in 2026 securing 75% marks with Grade – A from a school of West Midnapore district.

Uma Guha Foundation supported Arman’s education from October24 to February26 and an amount of Rs. 1500/- was being paid every month towards Arman’s four tutors tuition fees and this helped Arman to do well in the Higher Secondary examination.

Dipanwita Ghosh

Dipanwita was inducted into UGF family in September22 when she was in her third semester and after almost two and half years of her association with the foundation, she completed her 4 year B.Sc nursing course from a reputed nursing college of Kolkata in December24 and joined one of the leading hospitals of Kolkata as Graduate Trainee Nurse. Dipanwita is the first student of Uma Guha Foundation to join the professional world.

Uma Guha Foundation is immensely thankful to Mrs. Jhumur Basu for supporting Dipanwita with Dr. Saibal Basu Memorial Scholarship, in memory of her beloved husband, during Dipanwita’s educational journey. Uma Guha Foundation wishes Dipanwita All the Best for her future endeavours.

Aanushka Saha

Aanushka was inducted into UGF family in May’23 when she was in Class 12 in a North Kolkata School. She passed her higher secondary examination in 2024 securing 74.8% with Grade – A (Very Good).

Uma Guha Foundation is thankful to Mrs Mausumi Dutta Gupta for supporting Aanushka with Shri Anil Siddhartha Memorial Scholarship, in memory of her beloved friend during Aanushka’s association with the foundation. Uma Guha Foundation wishes Aanushka All the Best for her future endeavours.

Megha Chakraborty

Megha became a part of Uma Guha Foundation family in October23 when she was in Class XII in a North Kolkata School. Megha passed her Higher Secondary examination in 2024 with 75.6% marks securing Grade – A.
